Expiry register

Sorted by days left. "Renew by" is the expiry minus each document's lead time (inspection first, then insurance, then Mulkiya).

Mulkiya, insurance, inspection, driver licences and visas, permits, trade licence and GPS subscriptions — one register, one calendar file, reminders at the right lead time for each.

DOCUMENT EXPIRY

Which fleet documents expire in the UAE and how early should you renew?

Vehicle registration (Mulkiya) — start 30 days before expiry; Motor insurance — start 21 days before expiry; Periodic inspection (Tasjeel / Shamil / ADNOC) — start 14 days before expiry; Driver's licence — start 30 days before expiry; Driver residence visa / Emirates ID — start 60 days before expiry; Commercial transport permit — start 30 days before expiry; Trade licence — start 30 days before expiry; GPS tracker / SecurePath subscription — start 30 days before expiry. Driving on an expired registration, licence or insurance is AED 500, 4 black points and a 7-day impound; Dubai gives 30 days to renew the Mulkiya without a late fee, Sharjah 90, and a periodic inspection is required from the vehicle's third year before renewal. Keep one register per fleet sorted by days left and put the reminders in a shared calendar.

Document Expiry Tracker — FAQ

Driving it is a violation from the day after expiry: AED 500, 4 black points and a 7-day impound for light vehicles under the federal fine schedule, and camera systems in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah detect expired plates automatically. Dubai RTA allows 30 days to renew without a late fee (Sharjah 90) — that is a renewal grace period, not permission to drive. Renewal needs valid insurance and, from the vehicle's third year, a passed periodic inspection first, which is why the tracker puts the inspection reminder before the Mulkiya one.
Inspection (certificate valid 30 days) → insurance (issue for 13 months so it outlasts the grace period) → registration. For drivers: Emirates ID / visa first, because licence renewal needs a valid ID and no outstanding fines. For a company: trade licence before any vehicle transfer or new registration. The lead times in the tool reflect that order.
Only in your own browser (localStorage) so the register is there when you come back on the same device. Nothing is sent to IOTee. "Copy link" encodes the rows into the URL so you can share the register with a colleague or bookmark it on another device; clear the browser data to remove it.
Dubai SecurePath and Abu Dhabi Asateel subscriptions are annual. For mandated categories (rental, buses, school transport, heavy trucks, taxis) a lapsed subscription shows as non-compliant to the authority and can block the next Mulkiya renewal, exactly like an expired inspection. Treat it as a renewal date, not an IT contract.
Download the .ics file — one all-day event per document with an alarm at the lead time — and import it into Google Calendar, Outlook or iPhone Calendar; share the calendar with the fleet supervisor. A fleet management system does the same per vehicle and driver, with the scanned document attached, escalation emails and a dashboard of everything expiring in the next 30/60/90 days.
